The proportion of educated and skilled people in a developing country like India has steadily been increasing whereas increase in availability of employment opportunities has been comparatively lagging behind. Though, there has been significant development of economic activities during the past few decades, maintaining the competitive strength and growth of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME) Industry sector, in particular, is becoming increasingly challenging. The promotion of entrepreneurs as well as development of entrepreneurial skills have been the key areas both for sustaining the competitive strength of our industrial base as also towards reducing the number of job seekers. Rajasthan Consultancy Organisation Ltd. (RAJCON) came into existence in 1978 as an entity incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 with the objective of providing various types of consultancy services to ‘entrepreneurs’ and ‘enterprises’ in relation to any industry, business or service sector undertaking. RAJCON is a join venture of SIDBI, ICICI, RIICO, RFC, RSIC, PMSPL and Commercial Banks viz: SBI, CBI, PNB, BOB and UCO Bank.
